India’s largest airline, IndiGo, has started daily direct flights between Delhi and Guangzhou, marking a significant step in expanding its international footprint.

The A320neo-operated service, effective November 10, 2025, connects India’s capital with Southern China’s manufacturing powerhouse, enhancing both business and tourism links.

A Strengthened East Asia Network

The new route follows IndiGo’s resumption of Kolkata–Guangzhou flights, making it the first Indian carrier to restart scheduled China services after the pandemic.

Pieter Elbers, CEO, IndiGo, said:

“This route strengthens economic and cultural exchange between India and China while connecting Guangzhou to our extensive domestic network.”

Strategic Expansion and Accessibility

With this launch, IndiGo’s Delhi hub now connects to 21 international destinations, reinforcing its role as India’s primary global gateway.

The new flight also supports India’s growing trade with South China, where Guangzhou acts as a major manufacturing and export hub.

Operational Efficiency and Growth

IndiGo continues to expand across high-growth regions, leveraging its fuel-efficient A320neo fleet and asset-light strategy. The airline now operates across 120+ destinations, including 32 international routes, consolidating its leadership in Asia’s aviation market.
