Larisa Hotels and Resorts is strengthening its footprint in Himachal Pradesh with a fresh addition in Manali. The group has taken over the well-known Hotel Kanishka, located just off Mall Road, and is relaunching it as Kanishka, Manali under the AM Hotel Kollection brand. This will mark Larisa’s second property in Manali and its sixth in Himachal, reflecting the company’s growing focus on boutique experiences in scenic mountain destinations.

The property, which enjoys a central yet tranquil location, is only a short walk from Mall Road and within easy reach of landmarks like the Hadimba Temple, Vashishta Temple, Manu Temple, and Old Manali’s lively café culture. At the same time, it offers serene valley views, giving travellers both convenience and a peaceful retreat.

With 41 rooms currently undergoing a major upgrade, the hotel is being redesigned to meet modern expectations while preserving its charm. Many rooms will feature sweeping views of the surrounding mountains or open directly onto landscaped lawns. Interiors are being refreshed with contemporary touches, enhanced amenities, and upgraded heating and cooling systems. Guests will also be able to enjoy new food and beverage options including an all-day restaurant and a cozy coffee lounge.

According to the group’s Director, Randhir Narayan, the aim is to reposition the hotel as a boutique stay that blends comfort with distinctive design and service. The owners, Snowcap Views Hoteliers Pvt Ltd, expressed confidence that Larisa’s operational expertise will help elevate Hotel Kanishka into a premium offering for Manali’s evolving travel audience.

Manali itself continues to remain one of India’s most beloved destinations, offering a mix of adventure, culture, and breathtaking scenery. From paragliding and trekking to simply soaking in views of the snow-clad Himalayas, the town draws honeymooners, families, and explorers alike.

With its location just over an hour from Bhuntar Airport in Kullu and around four and a half hours from the nearest railhead at Joginder Nagar, the new property will be easily accessible for domestic and international travellers.

This addition further strengthens the portfolio of Larisa Hotels and Resorts, which now manages 35 properties across India and beyond through its collaboration with AM Hotel Kollection. With brands such as LaRiSa Resorts, AM Hotel Kollection, and 8fold by LaRiSa, the group has built a reputation for pairing natural surroundings with thoughtfully designed stays that deliver both comfort and memorable experiences.
