Good news for Indian travelers! Thailand now allows Indian passport holders to stay for up to two months without a visa. This new rule is part of Thailand's effort to attract more tourists and boost its economy. The policy includes various people, such as employees, students, and retirees.
Welcoming Visitors from 93 Countries
Thailand has opened its doors to tourists from 93 countries. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted global tourism, leading to fewer visitors everywhere. To recover, many countries, including Thailand, have relaxed their visa regulations to encourage more tourists to visit.
Boosting Tourism and Economy
Starting next month, Thailand's new policy will allow remote workers, students, and retirees to stay longer. This move aligns with the country's goal to increase tourism and support the economy. Travelers from 93 nations can now explore Thailand for 60 days, enjoying its rich culture and beautiful landscapes.
Long-Term Visa for Remote Workers
Remote workers will benefit from a longer visa, valid for five years, with each stay limited to 180 days. Thailand's affordable living costs and attractions have always been popular with tourists. In 2023, about 24.5 million foreign tourists visited the country. With this new policy, the Thai government hopes to welcome 25 to 30 million tourists each year.
