In recent findings by Skytrax, a London-based research firm, Hamad International Airport in Doha has been declared the world's best airport. Previously, this title was held by Changi Airport, which has now moved to second place. The announcement was made during the 2024 World Airport Awards, hosted at the Passenger Terminal Expo in Frankfurt, Germany, on April 17. South Korea's Incheon International Airport was ranked third.

While Changi Airport continues to dominate in Asia, it also received high praise for its immigration services, recognized as the best globally. Additionally, the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport won the title of best airport hotel for the ninth time.

This recognition results from a detailed global survey conducted by Skytrax from August 2023 to February 2024. During this period, travelers rated their experiences across various airport services, including check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security, immigration, and departure procedures. Hamad International Airport has won this accolade for the third time, with previous victories in 2021 and 2022. Changi Airport had claimed the top spot in 2023, its 12th time receiving this honor.

A representative from Changi Airport Group (CAG) expressed gratitude for the recognition and praised Hamad International Airport for its accomplishments. She thanked passengers and airport partners for their continued support, which she noted was crucial during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. "We are deeply grateful to our passengers and airport partners, who are our primary motivation for delivering exceptional travel experiences at Changi Airport," she added.

The spokesperson highlighted the significant role of passengers and partners in motivating the Changi team to constantly improve the travel experience for all visitors.
