Japan is making it easier for foreigners to come and work there. They're giving out more visas for workers, which they haven't done since 2019. The goal is to help with a shortage of people, especially in jobs like driving.

The news says Japan will let in more than 800,000 foreigners over the next few years. This is because there aren't enough people to do certain jobs, and they need help. Some reasons for this are that not enough babies are being born, and there aren't enough workers in areas like transportation and forestry.

The plan is to make it easier for foreigners to work in jobs like driving buses, taxis, and trucks. But they have to be good at Japanese, at least at a certain level. They're also opening up jobs in railways for foreigners, like building train cars and working at stations.

The government is changing some rules to make it all happen smoothly. They're hoping this will solve the shortage of workers in important areas.
