Bhutan is celebrating 50 years since it first opened its doors to tourism in 1974. To mark this milestone, the Bhutan Tourism Department is organizing a roadshow in India, one of its most important markets. The roadshow will visit four cities: Delhi on June 17, Ahmedabad on June 18, Mumbai on June 20, and Kolkata on June 21.

Bhutan has become a favorite destination for Indian travelers, especially in the summer. In May 2024 alone, 19,212 Indian tourists visited Bhutan, double the number from the previous months. Indian tourists are attracted to Bhutan's rich heritage, spiritual sites, and stunning natural beauty. The roadshow is designed to enhance these connections and help the travel industry expand its reach.

Around 20 exhibitors from Bhutan, including tour operators, hotels, and airlines, will showcase their offers, packages, and promotions. The event will also feature traditional Bhutanese cultural performances and lucky draws in each city, with the grand prize being return flight tickets to Bhutan.
