Extended Stay for Tourists

Starting in June, tourists from 93 countries can stay in Thailand for up to 60 days. This is a big increase from the previous 57 countries that had this privilege, according to government spokesperson Chai Wacharonke.

On-Arrival Visa Changes

The government is also doubling the stay period for on-arrival visas from 30 to 60 days. This change will make it easier for more visitors to enter Thailand and enjoy their stay.

Benefits for Students

International postgraduate students will get an extra year to stay in Thailand after finishing their studies. This gives them more time to find jobs or continue their research in Thailand.

Easing Retirement Requirements

The government is making it easier for retirees by reducing insurance requirements. This will make Thailand a more attractive place for people to retire, helping to grow the local economy.

Economic Growth and Job Creation

These changes are designed to not only boost tourism but also help the economy grow and create jobs. By welcoming more visitors and residents, Thailand hopes to build a stronger, more diverse economy.

Visa-Free Entry for Indian Travelers

Thailand initially offered visa-free entry until May 10, 2024, but has now extended this to November 10, 2024. Indian passport holders can now stay for 30 days without a visa, double the previous allowance.

Thailand's new visa policies are aimed at making the country a top destination for tourists, students, and retirees. These changes will help boost the economy and create a more vibrant community.
