This index, published by the World Economic Forum, highlights the UAE's significant progress with a 4.4% increase in its score compared to the 2021 edition, moving it seven places higher in the global ranking.

The index evaluates 119 economies based on five sub-indices: enabling environment, travel and tourism policy, infrastructure and services, natural and cultural resources, and sustainability. The United States leads the index, followed by Spain and Japan. Among high-income economies, the UAE and Saudi Arabia are notable for their significant improvements between 2019 and 2024, with both countries ranking in the top ten.
