The Maldives, a beautiful place for holidays, wants more people from India to visit. But recently, fewer Indians have been going there for vacations. So, a group called MATATO, which helps with tourism in the Maldives, talked to India's ambassador in the Maldives about making things better.

They're planning to do road shows in big cities in India to tell people about the Maldives. This is because after some people from the Maldives said bad things about India and its Prime Minister, many Indians decided not to visit the Maldives.

Before this, lots of Indians used to go there for holidays. But after the problem, fewer Indians came, and now the Maldives gets fewer Indian tourists than before.

However, many tourists still go to the Maldives from other countries like China, the United Kingdom, Russia, Italy, and Germany. But the Maldives want to make sure Indians keep coming too.

MATATO had a meeting at the Indian High Commission in the Maldives, where they talked about working together to bring more Indian tourists. They plan to do events in Indian cities and also invite people who talk about travel on social media to visit the Maldives and share their experiences.

The Maldives really values Indian tourists and wants to work with Indian travel groups to make sure more people visit. They think this will help both countries and make tourism better in the region.

Before this problem, the president of the Maldives had asked India to take back some military personnel from the Maldives. But now, they are trying to make things better between the two countries.

So, even though there were some issues, the Maldives still wanted people from India to come and enjoy their holidays there.
